Importing Data

Object Import Wizard

  1. Go to Inventory → Import
  2. Upload your file (CSV, JSON, or Excel)
  3. The wizard detects the format and shows a preview
  4. Map columns to object fields (name → Name, type → Type, etc.)
  5. Set the import mode:
    • Create only — Skip existing objects
    • Update only — Only update existing objects
    • Create & Update — Create new or update existing
  6. Click Validate — errors are shown row by row
  7. Fix any errors or click Import to proceed

Relationship Import

Similar wizard but for source-target-type triples:

  1. Upload a CSV with columns: source, target, relationship_type
  2. Map columns
  3. Validate — unresolved objects are flagged
  4. Import

.archimate Import

Import native ArchiMate 4.x XML files from Sparx EA, Archi, or LeanIX. All objects and relationships are mapped automatically.
