Running Dashboards
Dashboards render live against your inventory — there’s no run-then-wait cycle. Open a dashboard from the gallery and the charts, cards, and tables populate immediately. This page covers the controls available on the rendered dashboard.
Filter Bar
A filter bar sits above the dashboard canvas. Common controls:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Project | Which project(s) to include |
| Object Types | Filter by ArchiMate layer or specific types |
| Lifecycle | current, intended, or all |
| Date | Reference date for point-in-time snapshots |
| Relationship Types | Filter which relationships are considered |
Filter changes apply across every component on the dashboard simultaneously.
Saving a Filtered View
After tuning the filter bar, click Save View to bookmark a specific filter combination. Saved views appear as quick-pick options at the top of the dashboard for one-click recall.
Refresh
Dashboards re-query the inventory on filter change. To force a re-fetch without changing filters (e.g. after another user added objects), click Refresh in the toolbar.
Use the browser print dialog (⌘P) to print a rendered dashboard. The print stylesheet hides the filter bar and toolbar; charts and tables flow across pages with appropriate page breaks.
Drill-Down
Click any data point in a chart, or any row in a table, to open the underlying object in inventory. Most chart components support a “View source data” action that shows the rows the visual is summarizing.
