Document Extraction

The AI-powered document extraction feature lets you upload a document (PDF, Word, or plain text) and have DesignFoundry automatically suggest architecture objects and relationships from its content.

Supported Documents

• Architecture decision documents (ADRs)
• RFP responses
• System design documents
• Process descriptions
• Network diagrams (image-based)

How It Works

1. Upload a document in Import → Extract from Document
2. The AI analyzes the text and extracts:
   • Application names → potential objects
   • Relationship descriptions → relationship candidates
   • Process names → capability candidates
3. Review the extraction results in a confirmation screen
4. Accept, reject, or modify individual suggestions
5. Click Import to create the objects in your inventory
