Impact Analysis

Impact Analysis traces the downstream and upstream effects of a change to any object.

When to Use It

• Assessing the blast radius of a planned decommission
• Understanding dependency chains before a major upgrade
• Investigating an outage or incident

How It Works

1. Start from any object (right-click → Impact Analysis or from the object detail page)
2. Choose the direction: downstream (what this affects), upstream (what affects this), or both
3. Choose the depth: how many hops of relationships to follow
4. The result is a tree/graph visualization

Downstream Analysis

Starting from an application → downstream traces serves, uses, realizes relationships to show which capabilities, applications, and technologies would be affected.

Upstream Analysis

Starting from a technology service → upstream traces used by relationships to show which applications and business capabilities depend on it.

Export

Export the analysis result as a diagram or as a tabular report for offline review or presentation.
