Styling & Theming

Object Styling

Select an object on the canvas to show the style panel:

• Fill color — Object background
• Border color and width
• Icon — Object type icon or a custom choice
• Label — What text appears below/on the object (name, type, custom)
• Font size and weight

Presets

Click any object type in the palette to see its default style. You can apply a style to other objects via Format → Copy Style and Format → Paste Style.

Custom Themes

Diagram themes define default styles for all object types. Access themes via Diagram Settings → Theme. Built-in themes:

• ArchiMate Standard — Official ArchiMate layer colors
• Monochrome — All objects in grayscale
• Dark Mode — Dark background with light objects

Connector Styles

Relationship connectors support line style (solid, dashed, dotted), color, and arrow heads. Click a connector to open its style panel.

Per-Diagram Overrides

Individual objects can have local style overrides that differ from the theme defaults. This is useful for highlighting specific items without changing the overall diagram theme.
